Position Summary:

We are currently seeking dedicated Security Guards to ensure the safety and protection of our premises, personnel, visitors, and assets. Successful candidates will be pivotal in maintaining a secure environment through vigilant monitoring, access control, and efficient response to incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vigilantly monitor property entrances, authorizing and logging the entry of individuals and vehicles.
• Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems, reporting any irregularities or suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing immediate intervention as required.
• Offer assistance to individuals in need on the property, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on daily surveillance activities and notable incidents.
• Actively patrol the property, both internally and externally, to prevent theft, vandalism, or breaches of security.
• Ensure the operational integrity of security systems, including vehicle access controls, surveillance equipment, and emergency exits.
• Employ physical security measures effectively, including the management of locks and entry systems.
• Manage and defuse conflict situations with professionalism, maintaining a calm environment.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Ontario Security License.
• Possession of a Level One Sector check or the ability to apply for and obtain one promptly upon hiring.
• Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
• Strong commitment to grooming and appearance standards.
• Availability to work on a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Demonstrates maturity, reliability, responsibility, and punctuality.
• Proven ability to engage positively with the public and deliver exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Smart Serve and Use of Force.
• Valid G License with a clean driving record.

Job Specifications:

• Type: Casual

• Salary: $18 – $22.00 per hour.

• Language Requirement: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is not necessary.

• Schedule: This position requires flexibility. Evening shifts, night shifts, on-call availability, and weekend work as needed.

• Education: Secondary School diploma is preferred.

• Licenses/Certifications: Security Guard License, Smart Serve, and Use of Force certification are required where applicable.

• Shift Availability: Must be available for Day, Night, and Overnight shifts as required.

• Location: This role is based in GTA and requires commuting.

The work location is in-person.
